Empowering Special Needs & Foster Families of Arizona

Our Purpose

Since 2024, our organization has served Arizona’s disability community by supporting individuals with disabilities of all ages and the families who love and care for them. Now, as Exceptional Families Arizona, Inc., we are expanding that support to include children and families within Arizona’s foster care community.

Our mission is to strengthen exceptional families and build meaningful connections through education, recreation, community activities, family support, and inclusive opportunities.

We believe every individual deserves dignity, respect, kindness, inclusion, stability, friendship, and a sense of belonging. We recognize that supporting an individual also means supporting the whole family.

​

Exceptional Families Arizona serves children, teens, young adults, and adults with disabilities, as well as parents, caregivers, siblings, grandparents, and guardians. Our expanded mission also serves children in foster care, foster families, kinship families, and adoptive families.

Through family-centered programs, educational opportunities, recreational activities, community events, mentoring, and supportive connections, we work to create spaces where families can learn, connect, build relationships, and feel welcomed and supported.

Based in Yavapai County and serving families throughout Arizona, Exceptional Families Arizona, Inc. is committed to creating stronger communities where every age and ability is valued, families are supported, and everyone has a place to belong.
